That bike is here on the island and we haven't seen it?!?!!
Quote from the owner on ducati.ms... i rode the bike 97 miles when i picked it up from the dealer. parts were on order. i haven't ridden it since day one. just modded it. the wait for the exhaust was over 2 months. in the mean time i threw bst wheels on her, and ohlins suspension. time to ride her now.He has a helluva lot more will power than me...hopefully we'll see it soon...

Yea, I have been trying to shoot down his excuses about not riding the thing over at MS. Maybe we can get him out to one of the rides soon.

Did you find a buyer for the 999?
Short answer: no Qualified answer: no, but I haven't actually advertised to the masses yet The old friend who was supposedly interested turned out to be a red herring; he was referred to me by another friend, who was actually clueless about the true state of things. We are in the midst of selling the house and moving. So I have no time to sell the bike at the moment (which could be a blessing in disguise short term). I am determined to have at least one good ride before advertising it. The only real "riding" I've done lately has been running errands.

What are the details on it? Year? Milage? Mods? How much do you think you would want for it? Depending on a few things, I might end up letting one of my bikes go in order to get another sbk...

Not really. The SC has a pretty brutal riding position, especially with the zero rise clip ons, that is really felt since my back got all jacked up. The 999 was much more comfortable! I was just have to see what parts could make a clean swap over to either the SD or a 999/1098.

To do that I would have to get longer throttle cables as well as brake lines, which in and of itself wouldn't be that big of a deal, but it still wouldn't be as comfy as a 999 due to the LONG reach to the controls. And, I have to say that the SD screwed me with the hit of that 4v motor. Doesn't really matter at this point anyhow, as it's all just an exercise in applied theory.

Speaking of buying people sandwiches and special brownies...what do you guys think would work out better buying a DP High flow air filter and DP ecu (would it work with my cans) for about $500 or just buy a power commander?
