Speaking of buying people sandwiches and special brownies...what do you guys think would work out better buying a DP High flow air filter and DP ecu (would it work with my cans) for about $500 or just buy a power commander?

why not both...

because mike's bike is closed loop... DP ECU will be the most straightforward way to go (R-Lo's gone this way as well)

there is much talk about the fat duc O2 manipulatorthingydoo over in A&M, as well. it's worth checking out. IIRC there's a sticky.

Xerxes1769

So the DP filter and the ECU will work with my exhaust?

it may not be super-fancy-ideal, but it should do the trick. higher flow is higher flow. opening in the intake side (more air, stock fuelling) will necessitate modified fuelling.

also, and don't quote me on this, but I seem to recall reading that the DP ecu also bumps up the redline.

like I said, there's a sticky on closed-loop mods  ;)

Xerxes1769

Great!  Thanks I ask because it is a DP Termi Race ECU so I was wondering if it had to be used with Termis...and I'll check out the sticky...

Got calipers. Got pads. Brake lines got ordered today. Doesn't really matter if they make it here by the weekend, or not. Paintwork will take way longer anyway.  [coffee]
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

Purely elective and not in any way a result of any scuffing or scraping. When finished it should be a tasteful variation of a scheme already offered by Ducati.

Damn Rick, I figured you were going to keep that cat well within the bag.  ;)

Mike, make sure that any "used" DP ecu that you buy has not been installed in the bike while using the red key, as that would tie the chip to the dash/key combo and be useless on your machine.  Also, Gene is running fat ducs on his SF.  Chat with him about how they changed the bike.

Yeah, it's a virgin ECU, it has never been installed...and on that note is installation as easy as bolting it on, turning on with red key and I'm on my way or will SS be involved in the madness?

I'd let Will do it.
