i ended up going for a couple hrs. but didn't see the stuff i bolded. saw the usual drug deals n the crack addict rummaging through what looked like stolen purses. but tonight is the big block party. went last year n that was tons of fun.

went hiking today. now i have a couple blisters on my toes. hurting already, i wonder how i'll feel tomorrow morn. , lol

went to the china town block party with the GF  finally got her to ride her monster for the first time in 3 months, it was really nice having both bikes out at the same time. not as fun as last night though (i liked all the fire crackers and naked chicks) but considering it was a "family friendly" event i still had a ton of fun.

I replaced a side moulding on Gloria's SL. Damn expensive fuel hoses going on next week. Replaced a broken door striker plate on the 240D but it still needs a lock/latch assembly.  
Also replaced a suspected leaking vacuum lock actuator but won't know until later if that actually works.

Helped Frederick fix the wiring for the brake/tail light on the Monster so the brake light wouldn't be on all the time. Easy peasy. Also readjusted the chain after an unmentioned shop replaced a tire. They had the chain running absolutely tight. No free play at all.    Not South Seas but still, c'mon guys, it's only a chain adjustment.......

Took the naked 848 for a test run around Tantalus to see if there were any more brake lines leaking and to check out the initial resets of the suspension. It works scary good. There may be some really small adjustments to be made but I'll wait for more rides to figure that out. I haven't ridden that bike in anything close to earnest for a month and it's been longer than that since I've been up the hill. Darn near amazing and I went through the S's at the top faster than I've done in a long time and I wasn't even pushing it. Hoo Boy. The new calipers aren't any stronger than the old ones and that only confirms what I've known all along. The master pumps make the biggest difference. But hey, the calipers look good. There were no leaks so I put most of the body work back on except for the side fairings which are still at the paint shop............

Came home and downed 3 pints of Bitburger along with dinner and a cigar...

What time did you go up Tantalus?  I took the SD up there this afternoon, and then went over to your neighborhood.  I'm liking the way the front end of the bike is behaving now, and want to come back down and dial in some rebound on the rear shock sometime soon.  Looking forward to a detailed report on that set-up you're running as well.
