sunday prepped & primed dining room.
feels like we're spending more $ on samples than actual paint.
how do you find time to ride   :P

went to benjimoore this morning for 2 gallons...
...and two more samples.  [roll]

I ride while the paint is drying... ;D

Deciding on colors is worse than the actual painting... :(

All of that & in five years, or less, she will want to repaint a different color. At least if she's like most of the women that I've known.  Wallpaper!

the trick is to make her help paint... then she won't want to change the color of the walls. i remem painting the whole house when i was married, i'll do it once but not twice. we even had this yellow paint in a couple of the rooms, didn't like how it turned out but there was no way in hell i was gonna repaint it. instead i made cutesy borders around the room and crown molding. not bad after a while.  besides it was the guest bedroom, lol [thumbsup]

I think it'd be pretty safe to say that you may not be a typical woman (and I mean that in a good way).

I can say with substantial certainty that in five years, she will want a different house.

She wanted to help me paint the garage in the old place. She said it looked fun.
I handed her a roller so she could play too.
After about 10 minutes she said this sux and went away. Heheh.

we even had this yellow paint in a couple of the rooms,
Yellow? like this?
Dining room (before)

Day glow blue  [puke]
Master bedroom (before)

Obviously these had to go.

I mean, what kind of psycho paints the master day glow blue??!?!? I swear it's like living a freakin circus.  The clown house. :-X

After this we (er, I) still have the kitchen & family room. Joy.

The yellow doesn't seem that bad.  The blue was, umm, wrong.

Speed 3 Pilot

Got the walls in the last room painted yesterday, working on trim today...louvered bi-fold doors are the worst... >:(

Rode the H-3 to the windward side this afternoon, was doing an indicated 65 mph in the 45 mph zone after the tunnel when an off duty cop in a white charger blew by me like I was standing still... :o

i think our yellow had more green in it. it was rather weird, idk how we ended up w/ that color. but i made green turtle borders in one room and ilima in the other. i also made green curtains, so it made the yellow look less bad. haha. still makes me laugh to this day.

although there was this dark green, maybe forest, that we used in the master bedroom. i really like that color w/ the white trim.

btw i'm no saint, there were some home improvement projects i wrangled my brothers into. one i remember was putting in the post for our vinyl fencing. i don't think i have the pic anymore, but it was pouring rain one weekend. the guys were out there w/ the auger, and i was watching from the porch. when they were finished, all of them were covered in red dirt mud. i had never seen my brothers work so hard. :o
