What is this shiny you speak of?  I don't think my bike was shiny even when I picked it up.

Uhm Tristan, yours is a dark...   cheeky

Beachball hula lessons sounds fun, but only if you throw belly dancing and twister in at the same time.

I appreciate the fact that you took time to look and that you are working towards my best interests. ( Roll Eyes )  The Aprilia is a very nice bike. It makes a great noise and is no slouch in the power department.

I have to say though that I'm not looking for anything more exotic or rare than the Ducati.  The Aprilia parts and service availability is far more sketchy than Ducati but not as bad as MV Agusta. I could even look at some KTM's. A Superduke or even a 690 Duke. It's still sort of the same deal. The Oahu dealer is far more interested in KTM dirtbikes and I've not ever heard a good story about the support for the street bikes.  People go to Maui to buy a KTM street because Domenico's won't bring one in unless it's special ordered and prepaid.  If you haven't seen one some place else you'd be buying a bike unseen.

I have even considered getting an older Ducati superbike so as to not have to deal with the high tech electronics.  Who knows?  Huh?

I'm just gonna sit tight right now and wait for the 999 to get fixed.  Then I'll spend a few days riding it to get acquainted again, maybe swap out with you again on a ride (hint, hint), and then go from there.

No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

The Daytona makes a really wicked noise once you get it past 10k.   Evil
