Ok Gene, no more posts in this thread for you until you're able to say "saw a pair of baffles laying on the ground"...

I'm going trim them down a bit at a time until there're just right, like Rick did...

First you have to take them out and ride a bit.  You also need a friend to ride the bike while you stand on the side of the road to listen to it come & go. You might even want to use the db meter for that test too.   Evil

Got to sit on a DD16 today.  They offered to start it up for me, but I told them there wasn't a chance in hell they would be able to catch me if they did.   Evil

No pics occurred as I didn't have my camera with me.  BUT, I can always go back out there and take some.  We stopped out at Ducpond on yesterday's ride and they had one sitting on the floor.  They also had a pair of R's, including one Bayliss, as well as just about everything else Ducati related that you could imagine.  Got to sit on the new MV F4 as well.  Think that thing might be on a future short list...

Well, I mean it's just about unbelievable, in fact downright sinful, that you didn't start it when given the chance. I'm so disappointed. That's OK.

I know what you mean about the MV F4.  I don't have 18.5K laying around but with the reviews that it's getting it'd be on my short list too. Plus it's so damn good looking.  An 1198S still is ahead of it though. Boom boom rules.

It's ok.  We'll both survive.  Besides, like I said, I knew that I would not be able to get the sound out of my ears/head/heart if I had let them start it, and would have spent untold sleepless nights trying to scheme up a way to buy the damned thing.  Hence why I sat on, and started the MV.  Might take it for a test ride (yes, Ducpond offers test rides on these things) in a few weeks/months...
