Well, the key has to be in proximity.  Or at least the ones at Ducpond were like that.

I would have thought so, ala many new cars these days, but Bryson stated that either the key in proximity or inputting the PIN would work...and he then demostrated the PIN method, starting the bike on the showroom floor...of course he may have had the key in his pocket, but I wasn't gonna check...

you can use the pin alone to start bike without anything else, and with key/transmitter you need to do nothing

Helmetless/jacketless dude on a dilapidated EX-500 weaving in and out of traffic on Salt Lake Blvd near Aliamanu Elemtary school...

Three minutes later, same dude picking up his bike after he low sided as he right turned onto Puuloa from SL Blvd...no apparent injuries...rear tire was squared off and had no tread remaining at all...

Pflueger shut down their Waipahu Honda/Yamaha store today.  South Seas has to be loving that.
No modification goes unpunished. Memento mori.  Good people drink good beer.  Things happen pretty fast at high speeds.

It's all up to your will level, your thrill level and your skill level.  Everything else is just fluff.

2010 696, white with Termi slip-ons...funny, I talked to the guy at a stop light just outside FV and he asked me if I wanted to buy it, said he was selling it for a friend...hope he didn't dump it...

Don't know why, but I always thought the JP bikes were black and gold.

I just remembered the two wide headlights & the square tail. In fact when we first went by on our way to Snake Road I saw it and wanted to stop on our way back but we were running late. It was still there on the return trip but it wasn't until I was almost home that I remembered it as being a JP. I knew there was something special about it but that it wasn't a Paul Dunstall. Then it hit me, John Player. But nothing color specific. This one was the white one with the British flag in the tail.
