Good fun today even though the traffic out to Waipahu was flippin horrendous.  Got to ride the Speed Triple again and came away with an even better impression of it. I have to work on my right turns. Got a little strip there on the right side that's not on the left.   Evil

Like MD stated, not the best day due to traffic but fun just the same.  Longer stint on the S1KR was a blast, it is truly a Rocket!.

Oh and a big thanks to MD for help adjusting the Speedy's suspenders, much better now... Grin

No problemo.  Hey Seth, how's that 899 suspension? Did you ever get it set?

Eh, so so.  Still working on it.  Definitely a art to it!  I have been trying to go off of some Dave Moss videos.  Once I get some new rubber I think I am going to go do a test and tune on Norfolk.  Man that chunk of road is fun!

Take it a bit easy through Norfolk OK?

Getting the proper preload is one thing and not so much art. The damping settings is much more personal.

I'm not even riding at 100% lol.  Not on a track and not fully suited up.  Lol.  Why do you mention that anyway?  I have 30mm sag up front but having trouble with the rear.  I think I need a softer spring rate for the rear....

Maybe you do need a softer rear but that issue was supposed to be better with the 899 than the 848.  We can check that.

I mention Norfolk because my neighbors are continually "ragging" on me because my brother bikers keep racing through there. People are afraid to leave their own driveways on the weekends. So, I just have to put it out there however I can't get bummed about it. Nor do I have a bad attitude about it.

I can tell you stories...........  Roll Eyes

Oh you live over there.  Hahaha!  That makes plenty of sense lol!  Sucks we don't have a track or more roads to ride.  Those are a couple of my reasons for wanting to move.  Simply put, not enough room for anything.   Sad  Yeah I think my skinny butt is possibly too light for that spring rate.

I remember seeing folks sweep gravel out onto 13 turns a couple of times when they would hear bikes coming.  Heard of marbles once or twice as well.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw that—it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

They still do that stuff on 13 turns.

Not really. Some places it just occurs naturally like on Tantalus. Nature and shitty road repair just naturally conspire together against motorcycles & bicycles.   laughingdp

Short and a skosh wet today, Tantalus was pretty good though...on the way home on the leeward side of the H3 tunnel, squid riding side saddle in the rain at 70+...
