+1 posting up some pics is a good idea
I don't happen to have pictures of his bikes.

Why would I?

You're right... The NEDOC thread needs pics, I'll suggest it there :)

Funny thing is...

I doubt Bruce has pics of his bikes. [laugh]

Update:
Friday, September 05, 2008

We got a call today from the St. Eustache police department (near Montreal).  They found our truck
today, only the truck...but at least there is now a trail and it now appears that possibly the theft
was for the bikes.

Some people are like Slinkies. They're really good for nothing; however, they can still bring a smile to your face when you push them down a flight of stairs.

Hopefully this helps lead to the dirty bastards.  [leo]

Let's hope the bikes are found intact first.  Then the thieving bastards can be treated like Slinkies.  Over and over again.

have i mentioned i hate thieves?
here are the bikes from the link, they really are quite unique.
i really hope they are found so they can move forward with the slinky treatment.

It is a damn shame that something like this has to happen to Bruce. He is probably one of the coolest, kindest people I have ever met.

I really hope this has a positive ending because Bruce is the last person to deserve it  >:(

They have recovered the truck...

no bikes yet, but Bruce has offered a no questions asked reward in the hopes that the bikes don't end up at the bottom of a quarry

FOUND!  From DESMO:

Great news from Canada - my two racebikes stolen back in August from
the "secure" garage at my hotel in Mont Tremblant have been found.
Thanks to everyone who posted and communicated with the motorcycle
community to help slam the door shut on any possible black market
sale of the bikes.

We did have to pay a "ransom" and we did not get back all my gear and
the spare parts and miscellaneous other things stolen. But my bikes
are back safe at my friend's place in Mont Tremblant and in good
condition. And for that we are very happy. Many many thanks to my
Canadian friends and Ed Milich, who created a website with pictures
and VIN information to keep the news out there.

Keep a lookout for a couple of sets of 996RS cams and pistons
appearing on the market. Also missing all my RS gearing and special
tools. Plus my RevIt leathers (size 58, red/white), Arai XXL Corsair
(White) helmet, Daytona boots (45, Red/White), Held gloves (12).

Best regards,

Bruce Meyers
