Yeah, maybe I'm the only one excited to see it but for the first time, my name made it in the RRW news.  I'm 8th overall in points. So that's me and the guy in 10th place overall both on Monsters.  [moto]  It's just nice seeing that my money, time, and energy are paying off in some way, and the little 620 Monster is not such a wimpy bike afterall!  laughingdp

How many more races do you have left in the season? What classes do you race?  What kinds of bikes are you typically racing against?  Are there any other Ducs out there with you?  (Sorry...for all the questions!)

Sorry I didn't reply sooner, I was racing again. I had another great weekend...Out of five races, I got four wins, and one 2nd place. I can't believe how well this season is going for me. I hope that you guys don't mind me sharing. I post this stuff here because of two reasons...I'm racing a Monster so I figure you might enjoy hearing about what Monsters can do on a racetrack. And this board has a bunch of cool folks that I just like to share this with. Smiley I got excited to see my name in RRW, because club racers are out there spending their own hard earned thousands of dollars, fixing their own bikes, working very hard to put together a race program, hopefully getting support and love from their families and friends, and we do all of this for a few trophies, priceless memories, and a few bragging rights. There are some other club racers here on this board that know exactly what I'm talking about.
So, a little thing like seeing your name in RRW just feels good because it means that all that hard work, time, and money spent is being recognized for a brief moment by a large audience. This weekend my son came with me for the first time. Sharing this amazing weekend with him is a truly priceless memory and one that I will never forget.

Answers:

1. One more race weekend in Sept. It will be the first time on the new short course at BIR.

2. and 3. I'll answer these two at once. These are the classes and the most common bikes in that class...
Ultralight Supersport - Duc 620 Monster, 620 SS, 600 Monster, Suz. GS 500, Kaw. EX 500
Ultralight Superbike - 125 GP bikes, motards, 450 supersingles and all of the above bikes but with modifications and bigger displacements. example: monsters up to 680cc
Ultralight GP -  basically the same as SB
Sportsman and Supertwin - this is a huge grid with most of the above and big twins including SV, RC51, Duc superbikes, etc. I really like this one because I get to hunt down and see how many SV650s I can beat. Grin

4. Yes...lots of Monsters. Some of them showed up for a group photo on Saturday...see below
