Anyone heard this gem of an album yet?  It just came out Tuesday and I swear to you, go straight to track 2 prepare for a breakdown that will make you shit your pants.  That may be a bit melodramatic, but I really did almost drive off the road when it came on.  Overall it's a pretty generic metal CD with bits and pieces of like 6 other bands thrown into one album, but it's pretty solid nonetheless.  Do yourself a favor though, and skip over track (I think) 7.  I'm pretty sure they just took a bunch of 80's Metallica riffs and added a lesser singer.  Lame.

I'm kicking myself cause I was supposed to go to the cd release party on Tues night (they're local). I decided not to at the last second and have been kicking myself ever since. 2 of my favorite post-rock bands opened for them, Ocoai and Panzer. I haven't heard Backbreaker yet though. I'll have to give it a listen.

.....prepare for a breakdown that will make you shit your pants.

Since we're on the subject or metalcore/hardcore, that reminds me of a mosh call the vocalist from The Warriors (who I just saw a week ago...most excellent!!) gave at a show a couple years back. "Alright everybody, pull your pants down and get ready to shit everywhere."

Best.  Mosh call. Ever.
I'm trying to remember who it was (maybe ETID?) that was like:

Ok.  This shit is gonna get brutal.  At the end of this next song, I want everyone to stop, look at the person to their right, and punch them in the make the beast with two backsin face (commences breakdown.  Mayhem).

My opinion of Backbreaker keeps waxing and waning.  A lot of the cd is pretty average then they'll just randomly throw something in that wrecks your brain.  It's reported the they're gonna be touring some with Norma Jean and Haste the Day.  Should be a hoot.

I'm pretty sure Scott Vogel of Terror has used that one before. I should ask my cousin, he's a walking mosh call encyclopedia.
