Last time he was in town he said he was running for president and every mug is downtown to see this thing.  My g/f wants me to drop her and her mom off downtown since you can't find a spot to park your car.

Personally I'm going to go running here in a bit so I could care less about a politician in town.  The bad part about his speech today is that  a  blues booze and bbq festival starts at noon and now it will probably be postponed until obama is done making his speech.  Who knows maybe obama is a stand up guy and will provide some free beer after his speech for postponing the festival.   [drink]

Shit...he'll be in my town all next week.  Actually I think it's super cool!  I think everyone coming is lucky to see our beautiful town, not to mention the extra money it's going to bring to our local economy.  That being said, you couldn't pay me enough money to go anywhere near that mess.

blues and a bbq festival and Obama.........

Looks like a great demographic group for him to be in town for.

lotsa good food in austin/texas... you have breakfast/late night eats at magnolia cafe yet?

lotsa good tex-mex, too. not the typical, more-trafitional mexican food you find just about everywhere else.

It is pretty obvious:

1. You are not from the Midwest
2. You probably have not spent any time in the midwest
3. You have never attended a blues and bbq fest in the midwest.

...my grandparents lived in ohio, so i spent enough time there when they were still alive.

i also used to visit indiana and kansas a few times a year.

i still find time to make it to illinois one or twice a year.
