Sooo.

After being out of town for work for the past couple weeks I have determined the following.

- My insurance will not cover me for being struck by an uninsured motorist. 
- I am on my own.
- Tylenol 3's are magnificent

I am in the process of getting a lawyer to handle things for me here in CAnada as I will be leaving for Australia next Monday. I don't give a shit about compensation for my injuries at this point. I just want my bike fixed.

I am really upset about not being able to ride. Not sure when I will get the chance to own another bike. Hopefully in a couple years. I am scared that I will forget how much fun it is. Accelerating out of a corner, flicking the bike left and right though my favorite twisties. [moto]

Thanks again for all the kind words. Please everybody make sure you are covered for shit like this (physically and financially).

I'm amazed that you're not covered for an uninsured motorist. That's part of minimum legal coverage in VA.
Get a shark lawyer and sue her for everything she, her kids, and her grandkids will ever make in their entire miserable lives!

I only had basic liability coverage on the bike. My reasoning being that if I did something stupid to crash my bike then so be it. My fault.

However I didn't think about uninsured drivers. Won't make that mistake again. 

Right now I'm seriously considering buying a frame in OZ then shipping down all the parts that still work. That way there is no vehicle import BS to deal with.

My luck has definitely turned around. The cop dealing with my case is a little slow apparently.

I finally got a hold of her (the cop). I need to get the details of the woman who hit me. Turns out the lady who hit me does have insurance. She just didn't have her papers on her when she tried to end my life.

I might actually get some monies after all. Huzah 

Although it will still be a pain in the ass because I fly out for Australia on Monday morning. Looks like everything is coming up SKOM. I am so getting a new bike in Oz.
