So now that the left coasters are planning a cheap imitation DIMBY... ;D

It's time to plan the next edition.

There had been some talk about trying to coordinate it with a Fishtail track day because I thought we could get a group rate, but I don't think that will work.

They have 3 events of 2 back to back days in April, July, and September. You can check their schedule at http://www.fishtailridingschool.com/datesandsignup.html

Problem is the only Monday event is in April and it will be a bit brisk for camping here then. All the other days are T-W-Th and it will probably be difficult for many people to get that kind of time off.

Sooo..I think we should bag the idea of the track day and just party....and maybe sober up enough to take a ride.

The only times that are out are the last two weekends in July...and bike week which is June 13-21...which incorporates two weekends.

Thoughts?

Anytime before August and I won't be able to make it. Once hell week is over I won't have to spend my weekends studying...

I'm not currently in Texas, but I am in south Louisiana and I'm thinking about going, partially dependent on dates. It would be a long-ass ride, but if you want to cheat, I've got a pickup (which could be made available to you whether I go or not).

i'll commit to showing up and then drop out because i decided too late to actuallly do the maint i should have done a year prior.  :D

I have a trackday may 31 and was planning on riding up to lake George for the Americade ralley on June 4th to check it out and hang with some little seen family.

So my thinking is that it would be sweet to just ride to dimby that Friday since I'd be half way there already.

don't bank it around me. My schedule is way too loose to even be called a "schedule." But, if I am back CONUS by then, I'll probably spend some time heading around to all the friends I've been missing for 2 years.

Wow.  My cousin is getting married in Manhattan Sep 6th and I was planning on taking the whole week off to putz around the east coast on a rental of some sort.  Boston/Cape Cod was in the plan as well as Philly, New Hampshire and Vermont (mostly because I've never been to VT or NH).  West NY is it?  I may actually be able to swing through your neck of the woods for a day or two.  That is, if you can handle a rental driving, midwestern sucka in your midst.

I can't get mine above 120 kph (74) without a serious downhill and good wind. 43 up and a 200 pound rider tend to do that.

Awesome ride but not for those afraid of heights. 

The Kanc is a nice ride with great views but there are many other less traveled roads in that area that are just as fun. 

Early September is a good time to ride the Kanc; kids are in school, summer crowd is gone, leaf peepers aren't around yet and the weather is great!

T and I have decided to accommodate them by adding a weekend when they said they could attend. This additional weekend is just that and will not replace the September weekend.
