Travel outside your own country.
Sounds maybe a little silly-easy, but it's depressing how many people never leave their own country, or their own state, or their own county for that matter.

Go do a track day on your Duc.
Call your Mom and Dad every week.
There will come a time when you can't, and it really sucks.

Every time I call, my dad asks what I'm calling about (seriously). ???
We're not on bad terms...we're just not on close terms. :-\
Earn a motorcycle racing licsence and get thru a rookie season without killing myself. And manage this without having to get divorced first. All the stuff about Moms and Dads and getting hugs, I already do that stuff regularly. Im a lucky guy!

"Serve" whether its Family, God or Country or all, and do it selflessly
"Spend" you should work to live not live to work and your fruits should bring you joy not worry

Kiss your spouse/so at random times just to show you're thinking of them.
STFU and listen once in a while.
Don't have an opinion one day a week. (Hard one for me... [laugh] )
Pick 12 charities you feel strongly about, try to make all of them children, veteran or poverty related and send each a check one month out of the year. Try to make the check for at least 2-3 hours of your income. It is worth it. Also, it is better to pick local charities. Help those closest to you first.

Great thread!!
Always try to put yourself in the other person's shoes before you pass judgement. It keeps you humble, reminds you of how good you really have it, and fosters compassion. It can be easy to look down on others and make assumptions about those not living as well as you when you don't stop to consider their circumstances and the fact that they are human, just like you are.

exactly i agree with that, anger and worry cloud judgement, so even if you have to/want to do something evil or unjust to someone else, don't do it with anger or worry, bc your judgement will be off.. you have to do it in a cold calculating manner so that you get maximum benefit out of it...
i think that is what he was getting at, in order to make revenge better you have to take the emotional part out of it and do it in a smart/fun way, rather than an irrational angered mode that may make you "miss" opportunities that you would have seen if you stepped back from the situation and made proper plans to carry it out.

I actually did this, years ago.
I went to school in NZ for a year (5th form, equivalent of United States high school 10th grade or so) on the South Island, Dunedin, Otago Boys'.
I learned the Ka Mate haka

in school, and also went to a couple of the games of the 1987 World Cup. Quite something, and highly recommended. TV really doesn't do it justice; being on the sidelines near a scrum is...vivid.

A coworker told someone that it's no big deal and he could easily do it. When the guy he was debating this with went out for lunch the first guy ran out quick and bought an egg and some crazy glue.
He not only glued the egg to the other guy's desk but for good measure left it slightly cocked off center.
When the other guy returned he just stared at the egg in disbelief but the real funny part is when he touched it, it broke and spilled it's contents all over his desk. [laugh]

When my ex was looking for a bug we saw a mint older Rabbit. The owner had been in the military and passed away. The father had held on to the car for all that time and then traded it in for, I think, the new Rabbit. I think it had 6k on it if it had that much. It was absolutely perfect.

I did this in 7th grade. My science teacher told us that it was possible, and at 4 am would be the point at which the earth rotated to slowest, making the balancing the easiest. If any one wanted to try it he would get the school to be open at 3:45am and he would meet us in his science room with lots of eggs. By 4am there were 50 kids and a few parents trying there hand at this. Most of the people could do it, I didn't. I was never able to do it any other day no matter when or where I tried it.
