Clutch cover dent

Hi guys,

Minor cosmetic issue here... it appears my clutch cover (S2R800 wet clutch) has what looks like a "dimple" on the side.  I'm wondering if this was due to casting/manufacturing as there's no visible paint damage.  The other possible cause is that it was hit by a blunt object?  How durable are these and would they dent like this if it were hit?  I guess, if you all don't mind, can you check out your wet clutch bikes and see if you have this same "dimple"?

My 1999 M750 does not. I wouldn't be too concerned with it, it probably doesn't affect anything.

Thank you for checking.  Any other deformities on your clutch cover not unlike mine in different areas?

my s2r800 has been down on the clutch side twice, as long as its holding oil the thing is pretty much indestructible, I wouldnt worry about it unless you are having an issue with your clutch or looking to powder coat it.

the other side of that case has a steel plate and a rubber "silencer". it would take a pretty severe knock to really affect anything.
