The Bacon Junkie

yeah, people in SoCal don't know what to do with a few rain drops...

they either slow down to like 40 on the freeway (limit is 65... realistically 80 ) or drive even faster...  [roll]

I only see jesus having a sauna with a teletubbie.

I find it disturbing that you're imagining me in a sauna, never mind the teletubbie aspect of it

Or call work and say they can't make it in because they can't drive in such "dangerous" rain.
despite the fact that we have a rainy *season*

But WTF is up with everyone running outside?!

This.
And WTF with the screaming.
My sister's office was pandemonium.  Elbows were flying on the way out the door.
[thumbsdown]
I coached her in how to react to her next earthquake, hopefully she'll pass it on.

It was great meeting "The Dude" at long last.   She brought us some epic beer.

Isnt the sky falling or something like that??  Oh thats right, its this weekend.....

How laughable was the "news" immediately after [[[THE QUAKE]]].  The interrupted reports, "this just in", and the ad libbing gave some comic relief.  Field reporters were scrambling to find "damage".

It sucks about the Washington Monument, National Cathedral and other real damage.  Hate that it was diluted by early accounts of minor damage portayed to be major.

If you head down this way, let me know.

We should grab lunch or a beer or something while you're down here.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the airâ€"these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.
