My cousin in DC felt it, but as of 230pm all the Virginia phone lines are tied up and its hard to get in contact with people down there.

At least the Evening news has something to report tonight.

It was not real biggy here (suburban DC). Few things shook, a round toy rolled off a cabinet. Made for an entertaining break in the day, but that's about it in the DC metro.

Just talked to my sister, in her downtown DC office there was no damage, just lots of movement (only a few things fell), which caused panic, screaming, and a disorganized evacuation.  Their "emergency meet zone" outside was unusable because it was an unstable overhang. She's now walking across the city to get home as traffic is snarled.  Glad it wasn't any worse, neither she nor her office were prepared.

Speaking of phones, fwiw, my sis couldn't get phone calls through until now, but texts worked immediately after.
