and too many choices would raise cost.

When/if a price is quoted we can do a new poll & order thread with max two color choices and ask for "yes, I'm in" no if/maybe options IMO.

I think the poll should also ask if someone would still be in if their color choice was not available.

I don't think we'll be able to do more than one color for a reasonable price.

Yes, I thought the poll would be to decide the one color.

The people in the market for this are going to accept both clear and black - after all it's a unique once in a life time DMF by SMT Limited Edition Special  8)

The price is still the determining factor

A little more searching turned up this good effort by blalor.
Thanks!  I saw the thread title and was like "hm, this looks relevant to my interests" and then I saw my picture and thought "hey, that looks familiar…". :)  They're working great.  Painted black, now.  ZG screen is not an improvement, unfortunately; dumps the wind right under my helmet.  Coming off.

I'll take a set once you figure it out - black or red ends for me...

Howie

Black, clear or any color in the silver/gray family, even a not too bright gold or bronze would work for me.

Derekv

Black or aluminum would work.  Definitely want a set for my 2005 S4R.

I'm sorry.

I am very behind in the office. I'll admit it.

I'll email myself a reminder.

Ok, here's what I know.

Given the small qty, I don't think I'll be in the price range that a normal person would click with.

So, I found you an alternative.  Actually, a pretty cheap one.  If I wanted these for my bike, this is probably the route I'd go.

M6x1 lh/rh female threaded hex rod.  2 @ $5.25 ea. 160mm long.  If you want shorter you can back track through the website and they have 150mm and shorter as well.

M6x1 lh/rh threaded ball joint thing-a-ma-bob, $3.15ea if you buy 4.  Well, maybe not since you'll need 2 rh and 2 lh.  So figure 4 @ $5.46ea

Find some lock nuts and away you go.  Now, these aren't anodized so there's that.  Find a local place to "add them in" next time they run a load of black.  Most places would do that for you.  Ask them to hang them by the thread so the body of the rod doesn't have any cosmetic marks.

That's what I'd do at least.

For reference, my anodizer hits me with a $100 minimum.  $100 should do about 100 rods or so, just as a guess.  With shipping and anodize I'd have to guess you're under $65-$75.
