Shhhh!  Hwy 28 from Walhalla, SC to Highlands NC is one of the very best highways in the world. Just don't tell anybody else.

The seven mi. section, the Ga. section, from the Chatooga River and the SC state line up to the NC state line is my favorite. The "tar snakes" freak some people, but not a problem. The Warwoman is OK, but short. I heard there was a crash on Sat. and law enforcement was there more than usual I think.

There may be better places to live and ride in the world than North Georgia and Western NC, but I've never seen em in books and sure as hell not seen em in person.

It was a beautiful weekend here eh?

I live near the southern end of the BRP in the Waynesville, NC & Maggie Valley NC area, that could work out well as long as I'm not working  [thumbsup]

Yup, keep an eye on the speed...  The Rangers and I had a little discussion 2003 resulted in me taking a ride with one of them.  Wound up dismissing all charges to the tune $1000, not including what I paid the lawyer that knew his way around.
