Do you get vaccines for your animals?

I get them rabies vaccines...if they live long enough for their first trip to the vet...which would be for neutering. Usually they get eaten by some larger critter before that happens.

I never said I don't believe in useful vaccines...ie smallpox...polio...tetanus...do they even do polio any more?

I just don't think that vaccines for  childhood diseases that are pretty much harmless to children are anything but an attempt to sterilize our society, which is stupid, and put money in the pockets of the drug companies. We should figure out a way to assure every kid gets them and builds immunities the natural way. I also think that vaccinating a newborn is criminal...yet every hospital will push hepB before the kid is 12 hours old.

I think everyone should do what they want...this is just what I think.

If any one wants to know why I'm so vocal on this topic, pm me. I might even tell you.

Yes, they still vaccinate against polio, but it's not what you got as a kid. In the 80's and 90's it was OPV (oral polio vaccine) the stuff that tasted like bubble gum. After they discovered there was a chance that you could develop polio from the vaccine (about 1 in 100,000) they switched to IPV (inactivated polio vaccine) which is a shot again...
