I'd say they did right by you, but ymmv.

So I got the bike yesterday. looked at the oil filter there was a small drip of oil. i figure it was just from the oil change so i wiped it down.  went out for a  60 mile ride with a buddy of mine last night. parked the bike woke up this morning and there was oil again. took it back. tightened it about 1/4 of a turn. i was told if it still leaks, i would need a new filter.   and he doesnt know where i got the filter from.  these are Napa oil filters. used it before with no problems.   rode off back home. and the leak is not as bad but im still getting small thin amount of oil.  i knew i should have just did the oil change myself  [bang] [bang] [bang] [bang]

This happens every time most of us change our oil.  Tighten it with a strap wrench and it'll stop leaking.  [thumbsup]

I say the shop did you right.  The keeping you informed part is major.

not disagreeing with that. they seem fair.   its just that with the wait time i had to deal with, i was expecting everything to fine and dandy and not have to deal with any other issue related to the service. so i was just frustrated. but took out the good old wrench and tightened it just a little bit. took it for a spin. everything looks good.   [moto]
