Hmm...

http://portland.craigslist.org/grg/mcy/1174197023.html

I found a neat townhouse in White Salmon that will be coming on the market sometime soon, like 2 miles up the hill from work.  Too close to justify riding the Duc, or starting up the GTI VR6.  The road between Bingen and White Salmon is a steeper hill than I really want to ride up on a bicycle, especially when tired after the workday.

Plus, I could use an excuse for an exporation moto.

This BMW ad piqued my interest, because I've wanted an excuse to buy an F650GS for a while.

Granted, a DRZ400S would really be the ideal bike for a short commute.  Ride to work & back, sip fuel, and go exploring up in the mountains.  Could also possibly ride it in light snow.

Hmm....

I'd need some dirt or mixed-terrain tires to go with it, but otherwise, that looks like a load of fun!

It's not on Craigslist, it's not on eBay, it's going to Goodwill if no one wants it:

1 Scorpion EXO 400 LG helmet.  Worn for several years, never used, dropped once.

I wore it when I rode over several years.

Never used it - aka crashed.

I dropped it once.

I was interpreting never used as in never worn.  I guess never used for its intended purposes would of made more sense to me.

Well that explains it then.

Speaking of helmets i was at cycle gear today and saw a steal of a deal on their clearance shelf.  Aria helmet originally $449 discounted to $179.  It appears that its the last one and they just need to get rid of it.  I couldn't find a size on the helmet but it fits my head and i wear a large so i assume its a large.

Check the manufacture date, it may be several years old already just from sitting on the shelf.  The foam inside gets more rigid over time and doesn't protect as well.  It's usually marked either on a sticker inside or on one of the chin straps.

Yah . . . so I was registering my Scorpion for warranty purposes . . .

The F'n mfg date is on a sticker inside under the padding.  Had to pull it all out.  Do that, put it all back in and you know what . . . on the next screen I had to get the Snell # . . . yep . . . you guessed it - inside under the F'n padding again!

At least I know my helmet was made fresh in Sep of 08.  Wink
