When is the last time you burned through a set of rubber let alone a new chain???  I put 2 grand a year on my 999 and about 3 to 4 grand on my GT.  And I'm still not keeping pace with J_Slyter!!!  So when you finally get close to putting some SERIOUS miles on your

great white garage queen

then talk to me about shortening my chain life.  Have you been hanging out with Beemer Bill too much lately?

But seriously Pres, if you wanna have a shiny bright bike with a grungy chain, that'll just make mine look all the better sitting next to it!  Miles, miles, bla bla bla.  All I heard was "more miles on the BMW than the Duc", so that don't count! SHAFT DRIVE!  I've already got more than 3K in 6 months on my "garage queen".  2K miles a year, yeah, you probably don't need to clean it, LOL!

Naw, we're Nancy boys compared to Bonfy, She got her first Monster in May '07 and put 9,400 on it and her new one December 07 and put 13,000 on it. That's 22,400 in less than a year and a half. Emcompassing touring, twisties and track days..... NO commuter miles. That is iron ass and hardcore. We are girls gentlemen. 
Of course she isn't a SoCO DOG, thank goodness, leave those High Desert Hooligans, down there in the desert where we're safe from them.....

Hmmn, let me see... what do I aspire to most?  To have a "cleaner chain" or to be "faster?"  Such a tough call.      I guess I have to learn to live with the fact that I'm FASTER and cede the title of "Mr. Clean" to you.  Now I understand the complete fascination with the whole "WHITE" thing.  Did you have dreams of growing up to be a nurse when you were younger?   

And the champion miler for SoCO Dogs this summer, I'd suspect is J_Slyter...  Anyone care to ante up against that bet?
