sorry to hear about your cat..

I have a stray that showed up about two months ago, she was the size of a baseball, nothing but hair and ribs. she had a sibling with her when she first showed up, but I never saw it again, it was really skiddish, she was pretty friendly.

Jupiter.. (named so because of her color and the big spot she's got on the side.)

First cat I've ever had. I was gonna give her away, but all my customers love her so she stays...

Thanks everybody; I really didn't expect this to be as hard as it has been.  They've always been The Wife's Cats, and this was the antisocial one.  We essentially had both cat cliches covered:  "Scaredy" and "Curiosity Killed the."  Turns out curiosity is healthier than previously believed.

BTW, that's a cute little mange-ball you've got there, acalles.  Give her a scratch behind the ear for me  waytogo

Damn Tristan!  I'm sorry that CB passed!  I remember you were saying that he had gotten sick again last Saturday, but I didn't think it would come to this so quickly.  I'm really sorry brother.

"Yelling out of cars, turning your speakers out the window to blast your music onto the street, setting off M-80 firecrackers, firing automatic weapons into the air—these are all well and good. But none of them create a merry atmosphere of insouciance and bonhomie quite like a revving motorcycle.

Our kittehs:

The dilute calico/siamese (pinned) is Moxie, who we got from the local shelter. The orange monster is Lucy (short for Lucifer), who we got as a tiny kitten from a local farm.

This is Bag, camouflaging himself in a box of grub that was going to the lake.

she's getting bigger, and dirtier  laughingdp (can not get her to stay clean!)

I'm considering taking her home, since she's getting into trouble, and wanting to play in the busy street here  Shocked

Well I've got two to add the the pile.

Here is my first cat Lucifer.  His mother was a stray and walked into a buddies place had her kittens in a dresser. He was born on 6-6-06 so watch out. Yes, a black cat born on 666  Grin

Here is Kitty.  I rescued him as a kitten when someone abandoned in the apartment next to mine.  Originally we where only going to keep him a few days so we just called him Kitty.  Well a few days turned into a month and well he's not going anywhere now and neither is his name. He's a bit of on oddball cat so I have a few more pics of him.

He sleeps like this almost all the time.

He's on his way to get his balls chopped off, not pumped at all.

I'm really into big cats and I was lucky enough to get a personal tour of a private zoo that rescues all sorts of animals from people that aren't prepared to care for them properly.  They had like 200 different animals, but these are the big cats.

Mountain lions are the largest cats that purr.  If a house cat is like a car purring this thing sounds like a jumbo jet.

This is me with timber the bob cat.  He was super friendly and even thou he weighed 45 pounds you wouldn't know it when he is climbing on you.

And finally one of the coolest things I have ever got to do in my life.  I got to interact with two female tigers.  They don't purr and they make the weirdest noise.  We couldn't go in the enclosure for safety reasons, but we where able to pet them through the cage.  Such a magnificent creatures.  It's sad to think people try to keep them as pets.
