As I mentioned in TOSAT last night, I had to leave to go take care of Mr. and Mrs. Wedding Pant's feline and flora.
Well that feline Lola is AMAZING!
After about 30 minutes of lap time and brushing her....she jumped off my lap - not uncommon for a cat, right?
Well then, get this, she ran to the dining room and nudged a chair, yes, NUDGED A CHAIR, – into the kitchen!
Now my cat will nudge me (the "feed me now before I claw your eyes out" nudge) but this cat was nudging a CHAIR.
Well, she nudged that chair right up to THE FRIDGE! With her tiny white paw that she placed on the rubber seal of the door,
she pulled and pried and POP went the door wide open.
She hopped onto the shelf (she's tiny) and then proceeded to nudge a green bottle until it tipped onto its side – still
on the shelf, mind you.
Like a baby circus seal rolling a ball, she rolled that green bottle onto the chair and then oh-so-carefully, grasped the
top of the bottle with her cute little kitten mouth and jumped onto the floor.
Super Lola kitty then placed the green glass bottle onto the floor and ROLLED IT TO MY FEET!
At that point, I picked it up and realized it was a tasty adult beverage! After that amazing and dexterous feat, I could
not offend the wee one and popped the top and consumed the Dos Equis.
Good kitty.

Anyone watch Cats 101?
http://animal.discovery.com/videos/cats-101-top-cat-breeds/
A lot of good info on the different breeds. I'm not a cat person..mostly because I'm allergic..but I wouldn't mind a Scottish Fold, Burmese or a Persian. The Selkirk Rex and Manx are pretty cool too!

Good kitty.
You should have seen it when she painted the green room with an airless sprayer and all the scaffolding she put up too.
Thx Stella.

I can't believe what I just did?!
I went in the pet store to get dog treats and came out with a cat?!
I guess a local animal shelter closed it's doors. There were a ton of cats in Petco. Natasha's ice blue eyes lured me in and I was hooked! She is an 8 yr old Himalyan. She's declawed and is trained. She has a smashed pug-like and her hair goes beyond the end of her feet.
I was never a cat guy since I was always allergic. I guess I grew out of it though. The last allergy test was negative.

Doesn't the Mrs. IZ have "ice blue eyes" as well?
Just sayin'.

cute pics.
Cats do what cats do.
One of mine spends most of his time outside. He comes back long enough to eat and get let back out again
Basically the entire neighborhood is his and he's been fighting this orange cat lately (and winning)
A few days ago i notice this crusty thing on his head when i pet him (we were outside and it was dark)
**** Graphic content below, no pics though***
He has a huge abscess on his head just under his ear. Obviously a cat bite from a fight.
There's volcano like hole there and under that, honest to god, is thus lump that's the size of the tip of my little finger.
It had broken open finally and was starting to drain.
Of course the vet wants him in to give him antibiotics but he was just there, i don't want to spend more money because it doesn't seem to bother him.
We'll work on it ourselves and hit up the vet if it doesn't improve.
So after a quick google search it seems like it's now our job to get all the junk out and use lots of hydrogen-peroxide.
I was amazed at how patient this cat was while my wife held him and i worked on this thing.
The smell was terrible and what came out of this thing when I squeezed looked even worse.
He was a trooper though, and twice a day for four days now he let me scrub this thing out and squeeze it.
The lump is gone and it's much better.
Just a little tutorial for you all if you ever have a cat show up with one of these.
It's like a hypodermic injection of yucky cat mouth bacteria.
Apparently they normally will change their eating and drinking habits and become lethargic. Our cat didn't experience any of that though.
He's a tough MF'er
