Lily kitty

our old lady kitty, wanders into the bedroon this morning, meowing for fresh water (a usual thing)

she spent the night outside last night, and whenever shes outside, she prefers to drink the water that pools up around one of the sprinkler heads, and not from the water dish. So when she comes in the house this morning, her face looks like she's rubbed it in the dirt. Upon closer inspection, she has a lowerer tooth hanging outside of her mouth. lm holds her down to get an even closer look, when she opens her mouth, it looks like her entire mouth is infected :'(

lm took her to the vet this morning..... she lost 10 teeth today  :'( :'(

she's like 15 people years old. She may have broken it off trying to eat some of the dogs food (the hard crunchy stuff) and we didnt notice for a few days.

lm says she home now, wandering around like shes drunk (the meds)

Sucks that she doesn't have any teeth left, but I have yet to meet a cat that wasn't thrilled to death at a diet of "soft stuff."

Hope she heals quickly.

she has been on the soft food for awhile, her body does not digest the hard stuff any more, but every so often she tried to eat the dogs food ( I guess it's payback for the dogs trying to eat the cats soft food)

Helen, our other old lady cat, lost a few teeth awhile back, and she's doing ok, so I'm hoping Lily adjusts to gumming her food too.

Our house is like a pet convalescent hospital.

Heal well Lily.

Sorry to hear about this bp.  My cat Henretta is 15 also.  She lost about 4 teeth last year and we never figured out how.  She is still going strong.  Best wishes for Lily Kitty.
