My dane Jasper isn't a crotch sniffer but he likes to nuzzle. Unfortunately when he bows  his head to nuzzle into you he is pretty much right at crotch height. And boy does he liek to just lean right in there. Ouchie.

My Dane, Emma, isn't a crotch sniffer either. She's more of an obnoxious pet whore. Her MO is to move in, nuzzle your hand so if flys up in the air, move her back underneath it as it falls, then lean against you until you almost fall over. Almost impossible NOT to pet her!  [laugh]

It's like I keep saying:  Those who would sacrifice a free range session for a giant beer, deserve neither free range time nor a giant beer.

i have had guys reach back and grab my crotch in an attempt to get around me. i'll either blow in their ear or ask them politely to let go of my wang.

She's a shelter mutt, labrador and something else. She's about 65lbs, maybe more, and a dark red color with a faint black saddle and tail. I'd love to get her tested to see.

Jumping from a dog can be corrected pretty easily......

Whenever he/she jumps, just give the animal a nice sturdy knee in the ribcage/chest.

Our trainer taught that us correct action when we took our Dobe to training.

You crack the dog nicely in the rib cage and it teaches them very quickly and won't hurt them if done properly.

You can also just turn away from them and ignore them when they jump. Dogs jump for attention (be it good or bad). If you turn away and ignore them eveytime they jump, and pet/praise them when all 4 are on the ground, they very quickly learn not to jump.

Yet another option is to just touch them (a quick tap) and then walk into them. Get idea is to get its attention, crowd it and be in a dominate position over the dog. A knee works too but you have to remember not to back away after doing it.

I personally use the "whack the damn dog on its snout" method. The dog still jumps up on my wife but it doesn't dare jump on me when I get home.

This worked like a charm with Brian when we were training him.  Also still have to use it on Randy once in a while.   ;)
