The new addition to the family to keep my lab on his toes.  Me too I suppose.  I always forget how much attention puppies need.

My parents got us a mini helicopter for christmas so of course we had to torture Grace with it.

I used to have a couple of those things.  Darmah would go flippin' nuts over them and always tried to take them out of the air.

That thing would last about 2 seconds in my house, and not because the dog ate it.

This one's a muzzle loader.

I think most of them are, but I know at least ours unload from the breech.

A year ago today  Owen (1105 pst) passed away.  RIP big guy.

What a great name and what a great looking dog...I am very sorry for your loss

and I hope you get to a place where you can take-on a new friend....

while no two are ever the same

that place inside us that we reserve to love them, remains

despite the knowledge that we are entering into a relationship that has a certainty of loss,

we still go in with both feet...only the capacity to love could ever make that possible

I just picked up Natasha's remains yesterday (our cat).  I couldn't bring myself to go to the Vet over the holidays.  Rather than put her ashes in a cardboard box like the other places did for my Mastiff and Pug, this Vet put her in a nice, wooden box with an engraved heart under lock & key.  They also made a clay imprint of her paw.  bitter sweet.

Wow.  That's a class act right there!  Kudos to that vet for making the effort.
