Like Best Dog EVER!!!

Even though it has been 5 years, I still miss her.
It's all in the grind, Sizemore. Can't be too fine, can't be too coarse. This, my friend, is a science. I mean you're looking at the guy that believed all the commercials. You know, about the "be all you can be." I made coffee through Desert Storm. I made coffee through Panama while everyone else got to fight, got to be a Ranger.

Whew, thanks!  Those are perfectly cute and healthly.  Much needed.   [thumbsup]

Triple J

Our Dane rescue Emma got pneumonia shortly after we got her. Dropped about 20 lbs in a couple weeks due to not eating...looked very skinny. She wouldn't eat, not even the soft treats that she initially loved. She just layed on the bed and slept.

I went to the vet and got a high fat/calorie wet dog food, made just for recovering dogs. She wouldn't eat that so I put some in a pastry bag and squirted small amounts in her mouth. After a couple days of doing that 2-3 times/day she started to eat, and then quickly got better after that. I think she just felt too crappy to eat. Maybe try that if all else fails??

^ this is a great idea...

Get a few calories into her here and there.

So sorry to hear of Ruffles passing, TF.

He sure was lucky to have found Ann-Marie & yourself.

And the sugar fountain fairy swore so hard when she came to super-size that stale hope soybean; liiiike a homeless German woman. Who is this super-sizing spirit-crushing femme? And tell her I'll break a tree root up in her shrimp.

Being faster than you thought possible…it feels good. No, screw thatâ€"it feels like shotgunning a gallon of adrenaline and chasing it with an all-night orgy aboard a burning Viking boat.

Howie

Brad, sorry to hear about Ruffles.

Stella, the wife and I rooting for you and Heidi.  Seems like broth then broth with solid food might be the way to go since Heidi is drinking  Maybe a little Brewer's yeast, but not until you speak to a vet or someone that knows more than me.

Stella

Thanks Howie.  Broth is heating as I type.  With more of the rotisserie chicken.

And speaking of:  I LOVE RAT900! Out of all the words you ever typed for us, the best by far:  rotisserie chicken.
Score w/the pup on that one, thank you!!!

I found a vet who came to the house tonight.  He confirmed that Heidi is in much worse condition than the rescue clinic said and had him tell the rescue this which was not easy w/the 75 y/o german frau.

Long long long story short, if the old girl makes it through the night, I'm bringing her to my clinic in the a.m.  I emailed them the vids and images and left a voicemail with this plan.  Just hoping they're not inundated.

Thanks all for the support and recommendations, seriously.
