Hanging Out in the Swamp in Deep East Texas

Turns out 4 full members were ATF plants.

110 federal arrest warrants for everything from dealing to murder were issued and arrests have started this morning in all the West Coast states plus Ohio.

"U.S. Attorney Thomas P. O'Brien said if his plan is successful, the government would take over ownership of the trademark, and anyone caught wearing a Mongols patch could have it seized by law enforcement on the spot."

Wow!

i'm curious how they'll go about that with this guy:

One member was given permission to have the gang's insignia tattooed on his head for having shot two members of a rival street gang last year, the indictment alleges.

I was wondering the same thing. What will happen if people want to be badasses and start getting mongols tatoos once the mongols aren't around to kill posers?

I'm interested that I've never heard of the Mongols and I've hung around San Gabriel quite a bit. I guess I only stayed in the nice(er) areas.  Roll Eyes

I've known members of Outlaw MC's in the past and they were an interesting group of people. They had little or no regard for "other" people laws and customs, but they had a certain internal code of conduct that they operated by. They were very tribal by nature.

You haven't heard of the Mongals??  They had a small war with the Hells Angels a couple years ago in Laughlin, NV during bike week.

Pretty impressive that the ATF got back in the club considering that William Queen did it only a few years ago.  The book he wrote about it was great.
