So what is it with high end sports cars being made into 4-door wagons??? The idea just totally blows my mind! Lamborghini and Porsche and Aston Martin are about to release thier first mutant 4-door cars:

personally, i love the idea of a station wagon that can perform like that.

even a sedan is pretty cool.

people want to haul their families, and their stuff places in an expedicious manner. nothing wrong with that.

Going 200mph in a 4 door sedan just doesn't seem right though.....

The Porsche Panamera is a sedan not a wagon.  They are trying to tap into that market and take some of it from Mercedes, BMW and the like.  Im not complaining because it will open up a huge new market for us just like the controversial Cayenne did 5 years ago.  Porsche sells as many Cayennes as it does sports cars and as much of a pain in the ass as they are to work on, I am not complaining.  I am a purest and understand the arguement but the bottom line is this is just another way to line my wallet with green.  Most of these cars, like the Cayennes are right now, will be used as daily drivers instead of garage queens like a majority of the 911, Boxster/Cayman lines which opens up a huge service market for us.

I didn't know that!

The only real high end wagon is an rs6.  The rest are competing for the HUGE sales of Merc CLS (which they continue to call a coupe with 4 doors...marketing bs).   The Merc is basically a sleek E class and all the better for it...gorgeous.  Why can't sedans be sexy and fast?

So sleek expensive four doors?  Hell yeah.   Aston's Rapide is just as beautifull as their coupes.  The Lambo, while everyone says Dodge from the rear 3/4, is beautifull in a Lambo way too.  And if you don't look at it from ground level you see how low the thing is and then looks nothing like a challenger.

I like 'em.   Although I'd rather drive a Ferrari 612 than any of the flashier models.

I've always been a fan of high-performance sedans & wagons.  Especially the sleeper-looking ones ~

I'd love to own any of the beasts shown/mentioned thus far. Wish I could afford any of them for that matter......
