Hmmmmm, "Mounted" ??  Grin

 "Horn" ??  Grin  cheeky

Heheheh!!  Wink

Well spotted on the pun dragonworld...I try.  Wink

Had another look at the bracket last night, decided to keep it simple, found a piece of hot dipped gal steel 25mm wide by 5mm thick.
cut it to 45mm long,  Drilled 2 X 8mm holes at 22mm centres, bolts straight on to the old horn attachment  bolt, air horn hangs from that, simple really. Didn't have any in-line fuse holders in my box of bits so the wiring is a job for tonight.
If you are going to use aluminium I'd reckon you'll want to use something pretty thick (at least 5mm) as vibration will fatigue the metal in no time.  I'm also thinking a rubber spacer where the bracket goes on to the frame as this could also be a fatigue point.
I've also seen where the existing horn bracket has been used but I don't think it'll last. Couldn't do it like that on my bike anyway as it has this big steel deflector plate under the bottom triple clamp that gets in the way.

Heh, maybe its just the vulgar outlook I have?? (Its all Jukies fault posting leading stuff on "Story Time Grin)

With the Gal steel though , it'll start to corrode and look crappy where the cuts and drilling is, ally (Nicely anodized) or even stainless (although possibly brittle) might be a better option??  waytogo

err...no.. forgot to mention cold gal on the cut and drilled parts, and it's good quality hot dipped gal steel too. (Trust me I'm a tradesman)
So won't be any problems.
+ 1 on stainless being brittle and  ally is more prone to fatigue cracking. (sorry been trying to think of a pun with both horn and crack in it but the mind's a bit IZ_ this morning)

Hooked it up today, fuse holder in next to the battery and relay behind the horn, ( there's a mounting bolt for the airbox that was perfect for attaching the relay)  faaaark it's loud.

Agreed "farkin loud" had one installed today on my 1000k service
scared the shit out of my dog when I got home.
Highly recomended only cost $50 with postage on ebay now I have been riding with my thumb covering the horn button just waiting for a chance to use it on unsuspecting members of the caged community  Grin

_Excellent!_

I'm eyeing off some of the electric ones they sell too - might be a bit easier to "hide" on my non-watercooled bike... 3dB quieter tho...
