Yes.

Nemesis ECU kit including:
      ECU
      Short PC adaptor cable N-7002
      PC serial lead N-7001
CD with all software and maps

There are also a ton of add-ons like quick shifter, digital dash board, wide band O2 senors with development loom, mounting brackets, lap timing, data logging etc...

Really? A serial cable? Why would this new product come without a USB cable?

I can't speak for the Nemesis unit, but for related applications I have heard it said that standard serial cabling and ports are far superior in noisy environments.  USB is certainly more convenient these days, but apparently USB was really only designed for keyboards/mice/etc.  Nemesis seems to offer a USB adapter for computers without a serial port.  I ran into the same issues with my Innovate and Split Second gear - my new laptop lacked a serial port, so I needed to employ a good adapter.  The serial cable is a good thing here.

RB3's "USB" connector is also a serial too. Its got a built in converter on the box.

Buells data cable is also a serial to USB. though you need to install specific drivers for the device built into the body of hte USB that converts Serial to USB.

desmoworks, how much would the nemesis setup be for a 749 please? My guages are kaput and I really want something a bit nicer.. although I am pretty much ready to buy another setup via eBay that I´ve spotted.

Tigre gave me some good advice regarding this.

What all do you need? The ECU and dash? Quickshifter - anything else?

The Nemesis gets rid of the immoblizer, right?  I know some local race Ducs run 'em (Tigre was contemplating one after his most recent yard sale), but I'm not interested in upping my RPM or anything fancy.  However, a real, usable alternative to the immobilizer, gauge, ECU set-up would be awesome.

I believe this is what Desmoto has been using on their 1098s. Talk to Scott...

thanks anyway then!!!

I guess I'll have to strip out the immobilizer a different way.  Plan on swapping out my ECU and wiring harness for a year older and pre-immobilizer one then. sucks  Undecided

I had posted up on this unit at the DML about a year ago after having swapped several emails with them ...
Per the fine folks at nemesis........ the new unit will work on the S2R1000..

My correspondence with them..
Hi Patrick
Yes the new versions cover all monsters and your local dealer has details of which version you need for your bike. You should however find a 'tuning centre' rather than a Nemesis re-seller to supply this as there is currently no map 'off the shelf' available form us.

We will of course develop one as and when a bike becomes available but it may be quicker to get your local Nemesis tuner to do this for you.

Subject: Re: ECU & Lamda Sensors for Ducati S2R1000 2006

Hello Mick,
Hope all is well in Merry Ol England.
I received your news letter that details the newest version and it looks like it may work on my S2R1000.... or not.
The compatible bikes show the Hypermotard and the GT1000 and another DS 1000 engined bike but not my beloved Monster per se.

Is it compatible and if not is it an absolutly not or that it would require some hardware wirinng mods to accomplish.
I'd sure think that if the other DS engined bikes are compatible that the Monster would be real close

MOTOLOCOPAT

In his next reply he told me that they or some of the tuning shops should get a good canned map for the S2R shortly.
It is the real deal and can handle anything from a Exhaust to a big-bore highlift cammed fully built engine.

Thats interesting.  Seems like Nemisis is saying there isn't a "base map" for the bike.... bang head

To build a map from scratch that drives like stock buy has more power is a LOT more difficult than you might think.

I've tuned quite a few different EMS systems before.  AEM's, Haltech, SDS, F.A.S.T., M4 and M4 pro's before, and you still need to spend quite a bit of time tweaking and tuning to get the driveability to what I'd consider "good".  Tuning WOT is pretty easy/simple, but the rest of the tuning is what is going to be a bear.  It's much easier with a pre-made map, but from nothing?  Yikes....

I would check with Silverback Performance to see if they have developed a map for the S4RS.  Their 1098 map has become the "base" map that Nemesis is shipped out with.  I believe they were one of the first tuners to solve the cold start/stutter problem for the Nemesis.

I need a new dash basically as mine got smashed up.. i have my 2 x Black keys, 1 x Red Key, Code Card, DP ECU... and the smashed clocks. Quickshifter would be nice but not necessary right now.
