yeah, but with the old (cheap, beat to crap) FJ40s, rust is a feature, not a bug. I could ford a stream up to my butt (I didn't have a snorkel, so couldn't sink the carb...) and didn't have to bail out the truck, since it already had drain holes!

Man, I miss my 1973 FJ40...

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

So the soccer mom care package should be addressed in your name then?

Yeah, that is fine.

Not lately, I've been slipping.

Plunging nose-first, mostly out of control into icy water is fun in all kinds of different vehicles.  [thumbsup]

I'd love a 110, if someone else was buying. Love the looks. Instead I went with a '05 Jeep Unlimited. 109K so far, pretty reliable so far. Though my engine light came on the other day. Doh!

Most of those lights these days are just LEDs, pull apart the dash and just snap it off the board. Problem fixed, no more annoying check engine light.

I haven't heard anyone mention the new Chevy Traverse....Not a full SUV but an awesome cross-over vehicle!  I have a Wrangler and wouldn't give it up for anything, but I would love to have a Traverse as the "grocery getter" and family car!

The Unlimited has room before for bags groceries behind the rear seat not just a couple slices of  [bacon].

Unless you live in a state that checks your ODB for trouble codes.  Light is gone yes, but if the code is still there, it'll fail inspection ~

I am. Maybe I'll get luck like the last time it happen. Disconnected the battery, cleared the computer, hooked it back together and it was all good again.

Going to go with a 2002 Lexus RX 300.

Don't really need all the room of a full sized sport utility, so a smaller vehicle is the way to go.

I've gotten away with getting some very unsafe cars inspected around here, these days I can afford to do the right thing but I didn't always.

Went from full sized sport utility down to a small one.

analyzed the actual space requirements and took that into consideration when we made our choice.
