Triumph Thruxton Mini Headlight Fairing (Now w/Pics)

Has anyone installed a Triumph Thruxton style headlight fairing on their Monster? I'm considering this on my M.






Thoughts? Looks like it'd be a fairly simple bolt-on install.

Verify the headlight diameter on the Thruxton, as the Monster has a larger headlight than your typical cruiser. Most bikes max out around 7", but the Monster one is larger.

I'll definitely check into the diameter of the Triumph vs the Ducati headlights. Thanks for the input!

Unfortunately the closest Triumph dealer isn't really local to me so i'll be posting on the RAT site for specs on the Thruxton headlight. If it seems like it'll work I'll try it this winter and post the result.

So I found myself at my local Triumph dealer this morning, looking for stuff. I measured a Thruxton headlight at 7 7/8" between the headlight mounts. The lense itself is about 7" even. Don't have my Monster in front of me, but this should give you enough to finish evaluating this option.

Great! Thanks for the measurements. The stock M headlight is 7" with a slight flare out to the chrome ring making it 7 3/8" where the glass runs under the ring. The headlight mounts are 7 7/8" apart, same as the Thruxton, i suspect it should fit without too many problems.

I'm running non-stock LED turn signals with custom mounting brackets so i think I should be able to trim the fairing enough to clear them.

Monster projects are never done.

The problem with indicators is on most bikes they don't self cancel and if you are getting old and forgetful it's easy to ride for miles with the dam things winking

This may be why so many old guys are on Harleys.  They have self canceling indicators that actually work.

We are (on Harleys ). And they do(work).

But unless there is some significantly (relatively speaking) lean angle and acceleration out of the corner - they don't work - otherwise they're great

On topic - I like that faring - can't wait to see it on your bike.
