Hi all, my 1st post here a fellow 696 owner from Finland.

Those cans are Sweet! Looking forward to hearing them on your bike.

I'm thinking of getting those GP's myself, read somewhere that you wont have to re-tune the ECU cause it could adapt itself after a few power on - power off clicks.

Should I put the cans on from the start, or should I first break the bike in?

It's still early here but will try to get a sound clip later on. The orange color is due to my bad photo ability. Did I mention they sound great! My only complaint are the clamps that hold the pipes. They arrive flat along with the rubber pads and getting them to fit properly is troublesome. I may look into getting a more substantial pair fabricated to the correct diameter.

No re-tune necessary so far. Bike ran as well as she sounded. As for when to put the pipes on? Your choice.

flat? really? you have to bend them (metal?) around the cans? thats weird. yeah, if you get some made that may be a good tutorial for another thread. and hey, you may be able to sell them on here! [thumbsup]

As for the brackets, what a pain in the ass.  Not my preferred method of mounting.  It took quite a bit of time to "mold" the metal strip shape to that of the muffler.  Finally got it and it looks good.  Very happy with muffler quality and tone. 

I may become used to the loudness of these but after a 10 min ride i wanted the baffles back in.  Overwhelmingly loud and ridiculous amounts of bass.

If I'm going on a long-ish ride, or anything over suburban speed limits, I'll wear ear plugs. That's mainly to block out the wind noise from my helmet though. For short trips into town, I leave the plugs out so I can hear the full noise of the pipes.

I think you'll get used to the bass too. I remember my first long ride with new pipes, I could feel the bass resonating through my chest.
When I got home I was absolutely buggered. Now it doesn't worry me at all.

Bikes looking good too. [thumbsup]  Are those gauges stock? Mine has the older style, with only 4 idiot lights.

Yes, those are the stock gauges for a 2002 M900.  Glad to have them.  That four light assembly is pretty ugly, sorry mate  ;).

I need to invest in some quality ear plugs.  My helmet wind noise is annoying too, but this exhaust noise is definitely going to push me in the buying direction.

The camera is just attached to my tank bag with some bungee straps. Definitely not an ideal set up, as you can see how much movement there is.

Yep, MIVV GP's seem to be my choice of exhaust. From the videos I have seen they sound louder and meaner than Termignonis and they are not as fat as them  [thumbsup]

I too just got the Mivv GP exhaust (low mount CF) for my M750Sie.  I really wanted the Ti GP high pipes, but I was afraid it would interfere with my Ventura rack.  Thats OK - I think the low mount CF looks AWESOME!  Sounds awesome too.  I dont think it will need any tuning - the Duc seems to like the Mivvs...

Nice looking kit.  Drill through those baffle rivets and yank those things out.  You can always reinstall the baffles with a small screw and nut.

I'm surprised I like the blue on grey. Those wheels look great.  Personally, I would limit my use of blue as it is such a contrast color.  I'm not a fan of the windscreen, alternator cover, and ignition wires, but to each his own.  The blue tank decal does look hot.
