sorry but I think that dude is a make the beast with two backsing idiot, it would have taken him 15 seconds to trot down the driveway and back, now he's make the beast with two backsed and undoubtably make the beast with two backsed the receiver of the package by torching whatever was in it. zero thought went into that, what an idiot

I used to have an awesome UPS driver, me & the dogs miss him since he retired.

For all we know the guy was standing in his garage, knew what it was, knew the driver well, and just made a hand sign to chuck it to him.

maybe.

our residential driver is pretty cool.

he recently used his cell phone to call up to the house because his truck wouldn't make the climb...

he got out and walked up the 450 ft icy driveway with our package  [thumbsup]

he called to let us know he was walking up, so he didn't scare us.

oh... and this was after 6pm  :)

The one in the video I hope is now job-hunting.

The driver the serves my parents area is great.  Their late German Shephard would climb into the truck & greet him & get a doggie treat.  Many times he delivered after 5 & 6PM because it was supposed to be there that day.

truck isn't even stopped before his feet hit the ground.

My bro/law used to be a UPS driver.  My understanding is that their truck is packed for an "8 hour shift."  If they finish early, they get paid for 8 hours anyway.  Not that this excuses it.  Even if that was a soft package, still disrespectful to treat someone's property like that.

shipping with everyone sucks though.  ups breaks it, fedex loses it and i see it on ebay within 30 miles of the last known place, dhl doesnt know how to charge you (40 on paper, 350 next day by 10am on the package) and usps says 4 days but means 4 weeks.

ive had bad experiences with everyone, but my ups driver that comes to my shop every day is great and i can tell he likes his job, but there are some special people out there for sure.

Same here - he retired a few days before Thanksgiving and our UPS service is completely down the tubes since he left.  I used to think UPS was a great company but it turns out we just had a great driver.  Very interesting how much difference one individual can make.

Howie

We're on our second UPS driver.  Never had a problem from either driver, only occasional service beyond the call.

This video is clearly FedEx propaganda  :P

when i worked in shipping we had good ups and fedex drivers, but we also had a couple of bad ones on both sides.

that said, the stuff that came in ups had about 40% more boot marks on it than the FedEx. this goes for ground as well as air.

@#$&ing UPS  I swear... Today they delivered yet another package to a lady on the other side of my circle.  That is the second time this week.  I don't even know how many times in the last month.

When I worked in a warehouse, the UPS guy who picked up was AWESOME, but the delivery guy was terrible. The good guy was written up for wearing non-uniform socks once and the bad guy got promoted over the good driver.

We used to box up the items we were shipping, then pad a larger box and place them inside that.
