Are hard woods lighter than steel and aluminum?

hard woods ~0.03 lb/in^3
aluminum ~0.10 lb/in^3
titanium ~0.16 lb/in^3
steels ~0.29 lb/in^3

weight is a TREMENDOUS decrease, but what amount would be needed to ensure structural integrity. (calling all engineers to analyze this scooter)

does 'everything' need to be analyzed?

It's a cool bike and scooter.

Isn't that enough?

If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Very cool bike and scooter; definitely.

The original "weight" question was from me, and I was just curious.

However, I am with that dead old white guy who said, "The unexamined life is not worth living."

I like to build and cutomize bikes, I'm not so good at it.  So I'm interested to learn about materials of which I am ignorant; i.e. wood.

Isn't that okay?   :)

If you drive the nicest car in the neighborhood, work in a cash business, and don't pay taxes, you're either a preacher or a drug dealer...

If you remember your WWII history, the most successful bomber that the British had was the de Havilland Mosquito.  It was wood. The ministry of defense  rejected the plan to use more of them. The end result was heavy losses of planes and people by going with the heavy bomber strategy....Should have stuck with the wood...LOL Sorry to get off topic.
