Anybody have it on their bike? I was thinking of getting it for my s2r. I do a few trips and the stock seat kills me after a few hrs and just keeps on getting worst.

Gus has one..... when I rode his bike..... it felt like I was sitting on a breast implant.

Gaspar, Melchior and Balthasar kicked me out of the band..... they said I didnt fit the image they were trying to project.

So I went solo.  -Me

Do you mean the gel seat? I love it because I'm short and it's about an inch shorter than stock. It does get really really hot when left out in the sun during summer. I always had to rub it down with a wet towel before riding.

Jeez Joel...... is that what you sit on in Bakersfield @ IBN ???

[laugh]

To the OP.... yeah it's softer & gives you more of a saddle to sit in than the OEM seat.  It is also lower & wider & if you raise your rear ride height like I did, it will keep yor man bits off the tank & help keep you from sliding forward as it's more level & has more of a lip on the front side.

I've swithched back & forth several times & I prefer the DP gel seat [thumbsup]  I keep the OEM seat for when I ride two up.  No need to remove the seat cowl... just swap seats & off I go with the wife [thumbsup]

I use a foam Back Protector from one of the Textile Jackets I have.

It's kind of keyhole shaped and I pull the narrow end up against the tank of my 1098R and that 1/4 or 3/8 ths inch foam makes all the difference and it's FREE !

When I get off the bike I take it w, me so when I go to get back on even at a gas up I just take it off and then put it on and no hot seat from the Sun.

No slipping or sliding and I can move around on the bike in the twiisties.

I also like the idea that it doesn't raise me up enough to make a noticeable difference and it saves my privates from that pointed rear on the " R's " gas tank.

I'd say it gives me an extra 2 hours of comfortable riding .    Dolph      :)

I've had one for a couple of years, looks good, feels good! [thumbsup]

The only thing you might have to think of is to put a couple of washers under the latch mechanism on the subframe as the catch on the actual DP seat doesn't engage very securely otherwise.

Been on a couple 500 milers with mine...

A) Takes longer to get uncomfortable being on the bike... I'd say I can get 300-350 miles before I can tell that I need to stop longer than just a gas break. But...
B) No monkey butt once I AM done for the day. When I get off the bike, I feel fine.

I will +1 for the hot gel insert in the sun, but If it's that hot, I tend to take my leather off and just set it over the seat. My other trick is flipping the tank bag so it sits on the seat when I'm stopped.

Definitely worth the money, especially since my boss paid for mine.  ;D

So is that good or.....?
If the state had not cut funding for the mental institutions, this project could never have happened.

Might make it easier to stay on the bike.
