I would have put my plate there as well except for the signal business.

how is life without the rear hugger/splatter guard? chain lube manageable?

Also am going to mount it so it's is flat (parallel with the ground) to clean up the lines.

This headlight looks promising! waytogo

I think whe whole front setup would look better if
instruments were a bit up and headlight a bit closer to the forks.
Sticks out abit IMHO.

Edit: Now I saw this:

Maybe just get the headlight closer to forks?

Sweet bike.  Where did you get those clip ons from?  How is the reach compared to the stock bars?  Do they limit turning radius, or did you adjust them so that they fit in the air intakes on the side when fully turned?  Thanks.

You can get those clip ons from moto wheels  or monsterparts.com  also www.swattmotorcycle.com/Clip-Ons.htm

I really dig the headlight I could actually see myself riding a new monster with this headlight.  Great job on the mods waytogo

Cycle Cat made a very similar clip-on for the multi-stroodle, but it has a 53mm diameter.  3.5" rise and infinitely adjustable down angle.  A much nicer clip-on IMHO. Usable but you have to shim.  You see them on ebay and I think they are available at Oncycles http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=18737.0

Cycle cat makes a 50mm clip as well, but it mounts the bar in the same plane as the fork, not in front of it as in the picture above.

996 forks, BoomTubes, frame sliders, CRG bar-end mirrors, vizitech integrated tail light, rizoma front turn signals, rizoma grips, cycle cat multistrada clip ons, pantah belt covers - more to come

Cycle Cat is now closed and no longer making parts I believe. Shame really because they made beautiful items.

There has been some debate about whether the Oncycle stuff is new production or just a whole bunch of leftovers in the thread I mention and this one http://ducatimonsterforum.org/index.php?topic=18137.0.  Regardless, if you go over there and browse, they have tons of Cycle Cat clip-ons in stock.  They have 3 different 50mm clips for ducatis in stock.  They also have the 53mm multi-stroodle clip if you have SBK forks and need a bunch of rise.

Interesting then, I'll go have a peak.
I do like Cycle Cat clip-ons.

Thanks for the heads-up.

No worries.  I think they make (made, whatever) the best clip on going both for style and adjustability.

Any more info on how you mounted this up? Any more detailed pictures of how the backside looks or the mounting points?

MODS completed:

bodywork painted black
Quat-D round CF pipes, no silencer or cat
Competition Werkes fender removal, plate in lower position
removed rear scraper, reflectors, stickers
rizoma aluminum billet grips
rizoma reverse retro mirrors
Swatt clip-ons 3.5" rise
Corsair Industries spaces (x2 each side) for clutch and brake reservoir
Shock Industries mini LED signals
Aztec8 7" single black headlight kit

In the works:
14t sprocket
new rear tire (already punctured!)
DP seat (ouch! tank!)
relocate rear signals to brake light bracket
relocate dash
grind off header shield mounting tabs, wrap header with black exhaust tape

Planned:
rearsets (c'mon, somebody make some already!)

So have you kept the stock ECU and not added a chip or anything to richen up A:F ratio?

yes, no chip yet, am examing options now...anyone have any ideas (don't wanna spend the dough for the termi chip)

does run a little rough now, but not sure if that is because of the coil issue or what

So have you kept the stock ECU and not added a chip or anything to richen up A:F ratio?

the dash shroud is one of the ugliest things on the bike, i agree. i took it off and wrapped the wires a bit.

my dash is mounted flat, i just used a couple brackets that bolt underneath the triple and then to the dash itself, all the holes were already there.

as for mounting the clipons and light, nothing weird at all, just bolted it all on.

the bars dont come anywhere near the tank at full lock. actually the pic above IS at full lock.

mounted turn signals:

also went to the suzuki shop after they ordered a tire for me, the guy said he couldn't do it because he 'didn't have ducati tools or a stand that would work with a ducati'

uh, ok.
