Whats the part number for the NGK spark plugs that fit a 97 M900? Trying to see if I can get a set local without having to go to the dealership.

NGK DCPR8E part# NG4339
Most parts places stock the DCPR8E plugs, but not that part#, which has the removable terminal lug and the right size hex. You might look here and create a shopping list:

Ducati says every 6 & 12 or 750 & 15, depending on year. Can you get away with a longer interval? Probably. But since my bike only has two...

So apparently my horizontal cylinder is running correctly but my verticle one is running very rich. The old plug was carbon fouled. These plugs only had a few thousand miles on them but were cheap champions. Is there any mixture adjustment screws that I can play with? 97 M900

You can adjust idle mixture, but it won't make much of an overall difference. Did you have a misfire or is the plug just darker? Most people just turn the mixture screws out equally, on your bike three turns should work. The mixture screws are over the float bowl in the middle of each carb. The idle speed screw is the bigger screw by the right carb. the other screw is the synch screw. Sorry, no picture. Best would be setting mixture with an exhaust analyzer to about 4% CO. If you don't have a tool to synch the throttle bodies after you are done I suggest you leave it until your next service or have someone with the proper equipment do it.

The reason I changed the plugs was because I was having an off idle no load or low load missfire. If I'm doing around 30 or so mph it will have an intermittent miss. If I'm doing 80 it runs great. Its still doing the same thing after the new plugs. Guess ill have to look towards the plug wires and coils. There's about 35,000 miles on her.

Sounds just like when my horizontal plug wire was grounding out. Took a while to diagnose because there was no visable spark along the wire. It was grounding out through the boot down in the cylinder head.
Try wrapping the exterior of the boot in electrical tape. This was the temporary fix the dealer used on my bike till a new plug wire came on the slow boat from Italy.
Lucky for you the vertical plug wire is cheaper than the horizontal.

Hey, nice thread, anyone has had experience with BOSCh spark plugs? They show a P/N XR5DC ... I still have to order or purchase at stealership here ... I had Champions as OEM and they worked great ... changed to iridium and also worked great ... until ... well, using 'good old used plugs' at time of writing ...
If any Ducati tech can share some light on the BOSCH product ... TKS!!!

NGK DCPR8E part #NG4339, your bike will love them. About $4 each here in the US. If you can't find them in Panama our sponsor, California Cycleworks will be glad to send you a pair.
