I'm using the OLD NGK DCPR8E ... the Iridium ones got fouled ...
I know Chris can send me some plugs ... Just wanted to know if someone had FHE with the other brands ... still have 2 more of the NGK ones ... somewhere in the house ...

Hey, nice thread, anyone has had experience with BOSCh spark plugs? They show a P/N XR5DC ... I still have to order or purchase at stealership here ... I had Champions as OEM and they worked great ... changed to iridium and also worked great ... until ... well, using 'good old used plugs' at time of writing ...
If any Ducati tech can share some light on the BOSCH product ... TKS!!!

I think most if not all of us stick with NGK.  If you're having plug fouling problems with the correct heat range NGK chances are there is something else wrong, like a bad wire,  very rich mixture or excessive oil getting into the combustion chamber.  Sorry if I can't answer your question about  Bosch plugs.  I've used them in cars without any obvious problems but I don't think that relates at all to Ducati use.  Can you post a closeup photo of your fouled plug(s)?  Not that I have any talent for diagnosing problems based on internet plug pictures but maybe someone else can help.

It was an issue discussed in another posting I did a couple days ago ... regarding 'exploding and throwing flames thru the exhaust' ... it was a one time only thing that took care of itself, even though it fouled my iridium plugs ...
Just asking about the other brands since I'm now 'working' for a company that distributes Bosch and the owner can get me a box[min order] of the correct ones for my bike ... well, actually, for many Ducatis ...

When you install your new plugs, dab a bit of anti-seize paste on the threads.  I just swapped plugs in the S2R, and whoa were they coarse feeling (original plugs).  Aluminum heads and steel plugs don't always play nice.

Also, get somewhere close to torque specs for obvious reasons.
