...man, can you believe we're talking about that? one of the other guys that just got off the factory yamaha
never
won a race on it. and that guy won the whole enchilada in 2005. flippin' amazing.

Different platform though, isn't it? I'd say a crossplane crankshaft qualifies it as a totally different bike
Either way...the team, bike, and rider are all critical. And it's very impressive that Ben can win at a track he hadn't seen before.

yeah, but ben also tested the '08 and said it could've been a race winner... of course, he was specifically talking about the ama superbike series.
