...man, can you believe we're talking about that?  one of the other guys that just got off the factory yamaha never won a race on it.  and that guy won the whole enchilada in 2005.  flippin' amazing.

Different platform though, isn't it? I'd say a crossplane crankshaft qualifies it as a totally different bike Grin

Either way...the team, bike, and rider are all critical. And it's very impressive that Ben can win at a track he hadn't seen before.

yeah, but ben also tested the '08 and said it could've been a race winner... of course, he was specifically talking about the ama superbike series.

Yeah, Ben has the 'stones while everyone else was on those shitty Michelins.  (sorry, feeling nostalgic for last year)

gm2, don't feel bad.  I watched R2 three times and R1 twice.  In my defense, the third time was cuz datv hadn't seen the races yet and offered me drink to hang out and watch racing.
