MORNING....

my thought for the day is in regards to the lack of accountability to the media for making bias in reporting....

last night in the car on the way back from running activities, the Munchkin ( now 13 y.o.) pipes up and asks who's side we are on in the Trayvon dealio...and announces that she is on the side of Trayvon, but it is obvious that it is due to the constant feeding of 10-20 second sound bites on her Yahoo and various other news source feeds and it never occured to her that there might be another side to the story....her mother politely and briefly discussed it with her to say, "we don't know all the facts, so I can't choose a side" and to give her a phsyical idea of how perhaps it may have looked from the other side based on some of the supposed scenarios being suggested from the other side...

personally, I think that we'll never actually know the truth, and hope that while this gets solved, that the media finds something else to sublimate it's energy into that is wholly more important to the entire country

oh, and I kinda really want a donut right now for some reason....

Put me on the "new laptop" list.  Work issued, antiquated Dell finally puked the other day. It was so old you could count the pixels.   They still haven't moved on replacing it.

And I don't need any more help right now with my inability to be productive.

sigh.....

my work laptop takes 10 min to start up and 7 to shut down.

i come in, fire it up, go get my oatmeal and tea then come back and wait to log on.
after logging on it takes another 5 min or so for me to be able to do anything. after i can start up outlook and SAP it takes another 30 min for it to wake up. normally starting a transaction in SAP takes 2 seconds. in that first bit it takes up to a full minute.

It's a good opportunity for me to play words with friends or check facebook from my phone.  ;D
