Last night a torhellicane blew through my neighborhood.  Other than that the Duc is still loud and the cats are still crafty ~

JM

EDIT:  Hadn't seen those things DD ~

JM

Watch out they are addictive.  It is real easy to sit down and eat a whole bag.

Has that been there before and I just missed it on TOB?

Yes, but I tend to rotate them.

so. um... our midnight meal (known as mid-rats for midnight rations) was really terrible leftover white rice. You'd think, we're home ported in Japan, they'd make a concerted  effort to learn how to make rice. I love Japanese rice. I hate the crap they serve here. It's bad when white rice is crunchy.

So, it's back to the jalapeno cheetos. I do have a small container of nukable japanese rice that'll go down good with a can of sardines (at least I think they're sardines - it's all in japanese) in about an hour.

Gotta love being in a foreign country & trying to figure out what you're eating.  It was like that when I was in Egypt.  Never really know what I was eating, but never asked...

sometimes it is. Best Chinese food I've had short of China was in Italy and between Chinese and the Italian translation, I had no clue what I was eating. Some random meat on a stick in Turkey still makes me salivate. And, the kiosk in Russia had some wonderful assorted meats.

One of the local Chinese restaurants serves a meat on a stick.  That with a little white shrimp sauce is incredible!

Turkey - rolling cart vendor, 1/2 dozen different huge pieces of meat on a rotisserie. buddy asks for beef, he gets a shave. another, pork, another chicken, and I took lamb. No language barrier issues as there were pictures.

All came off the same rotisserie...

But, still damn good.

Must be tricky to lug the 400 up there.  ;)
