OK the fun begins...

Not a return of hiatus hernia

Ulcer time!!!   right up at the top of the stomach just below the throat/esophageal sphincter (this would sound somewhat pornographic in any other instance)

which has created inflammation and swelling and hence why I can't get any food out of my gullet and into my guts

doc is doing a biopsy on the ulcer to make sure it isn't cancerous, sending me for script to get the ulcer quieted down

Going Friday for full chest, abdominal and pelvic CT scan with contrast...

guess I will know by next week how "lit-up" I am with anything else...9/11 lungs etc etc   and get a clear snapshot of my near term future quality of life

quite honestly I have done nothing in life to earn the 61 years I have accumulated...far better-living people than I have fallen short

to borrow a quote from my g-g-grandfather's obituary: "considering the life he led, it was a wonder he lived as long as he did"

so I am happy...at least I know what is ailing me...got a visual now!

thanks for all the good thoughts!   [cheeky]

I wonder if that big monkey on the chair behind you has anything to do with your illness?
It could also be Stella's fault.

Better than being my fault. It's usually my fault. Just ask Joy...
