I think it's because there are some way out of the way roads in the district that take forever for the plows to get to

the schools here can go either way
but what do i care... i don't have to deal with that
well.. other than buses picking the kids up at their doorstep every 25ft
what ever happened to the bus stop concept?
when i was a kid... lol... we walked over a mile to school
that was REALLY far for a kid in 1st grade

well... i better go shovel

I had an hour or so bus ride to school, turning 16 couldn't come soon enough as driving straight there was 20 something minutes

Ning. It was sunny here today. The temp got up to a toasty 320. Saw one kid in a tank top. Still have all the snow we need.

The only time I ever rode the bus was the year we lived several miles out side of town. Otherwise I walked or rode my bike. If it poured down rain, some times my mom would give me a ride. but most of the time I rode to school on a bike or walked.

Walked to school in bare feet so as not to wear out my shoes. (actually, shoe, me and my brother had to share a pair) . And it was all up hill, both ways.
