for the Jeep or MB?    not always the O2 sensor is the culprit . .  it may "fix" things temporarily, but, the whole ignition/injection system must be checked, coils, injectors, MAF sensor . . .I'll assume your Jeep has a 'close loop' system not 'open loop' where you have 2 O2 Sensors in from of the cat and 2 O2 sensors after ..  sorry, you've got an inline 6 . . so you have one before one after . . .check your cat, it could be faulty . . .if the MAF if "dirty" it will not read precisely and either tell the ECU to give more or less fuel . .. just my $0.02

now, time for a drink . . .

Ill check the MAF i just got done changing the plugs. I changed the six on one side last week and changed the other six today. It was in between changes that the light came on. I have a feeling that it caused one to burn out.

I don't own a jeep. LMT is having trouble with hers though.

in that case, you should check your 4 O2 sensors . . two before two after . . . also, might not be getting an EGR code, but, have it checked and/or cleaned, yes it can be cleaned . . .

btw, what codes are you getting?

I'm so tired . . .but, once I hit the pillow, all of it goes away . . .

P0141 or P0140 . . .

I think its one of those. Specifically its the heater circuit.

hope this helps . . . O2 sensor codes are one of the most diff to diagnose, correctly . . .

OBD II Fault Code

OBD II P0140
Fault Code Definition
The Catalyst Monitoring Oxygen Sensor evaluates the rear most Catalytic Converter's emissions-reducing capability. Code P0140 is set when there is no activity in the signal from the Rear Oxygen Sensor.

Symptoms

Check Engine Light will illuminate
In many cases, no abnormal symptoms may be noticed
In some cases, the vehicle will fail an Emissions Test
In many cases, the NOx emissions will be elevated
Common Problems That Trigger the P0140 Code

Defective Catalytic Converter
Faulty Rear Oxygen Sensor wiring or connections

Common Misdiagnoses

Oxygen Sensor is replaced when the problem is a defective Catalytic Converter
Oxygen Sensor is replaced when the problem is faulty sensor wiring or connections

OBD II Fault Code

OBD II P0141
Fault Code Definition
The Catalyst Monitoring Oxygen Sensor evaluates the rear most Catalytic Converter's emissions-reducing capability. Code P0141 is set when the Rear Oxygen Sensor does not show signal activity indicative of closed loop fuel system operation within the required time.

Symptoms

Check Engine Light will illuminate
In many cases, no abnormal symptoms may be noticed
In some cases, the vehicle will fail an Emissions Test
In many cases, the NOx emissions will be elevated
Common Problems That Trigger the P0141 Code

Defective Rear Most Oxygen Sensor
Faulty Rear Most Oxygen Sensor wiring or connections

Common Misdiagnoses

Oxygen Sensor Sensor is replaced when the problem is a defective Catalytic Converter
Oxygen Sensor is replaced when the problem is faulty sensor wiring or connections
Oxygen Sensor is replaced when the problem is an exhaust leak before the Rear Oxygen Sensor
